Alan graduated from Brooklyn College with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Brooklyn College and earned a Master in Business Administration from Adelphi University in Garden City, New York. Alan is licensed in the states of New York and Florida as a Certified Public Accountant.

Professional Experience

Alan spent four years with Ernst & Young where he was responsible for the audits of various publicly and closely held clients. These clients operated in a variety of industries, including manufacturing, government contracting, professional services and health care. Alan established his own accounting firm in 1972. Alan is a tenured Professor of Accounting at Adelphi University where he teaches auditing, intermediate and financial accounting on both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Alan has served as a member of the NYSSCPAs executive board for the Suffolk County Chapter and is a former chairman of the Chapter’s Administration and Continuity of Practice Committee.

Alan is an active member of the following professional and civil organizations: American Institute of CPAs New York State Society of CPAs Commack Jewish Center – Former Vice President and Executive Board member Solomon Schechter Day School – Suffolk County Founder Executive Board Member and Treasurer
